My involvement with the Boy Scouts as a teenager lead me to Dahlonega, Georgia where the first major gold rush occurred in the US! It was here that my interest in gems began! During the 80's I worked for Tiffany & Co. and apprenticed with Master Gem Cutters! I studied jewelry design & metalsmithing and took business classes in college!

I attended the annual Tucson Gem Show for 30 years in a row! I have traveled as far as Madagascar to obtain rare antiquities! I have cut stones for museums and have won international contest for gem cutting!
